Too many bait fish and the fish will be full and non responsive. I have run into this scenario several times in the last month.

Redfish are roaming the flats and hanging out in and around mullet schools, fishing for them is addicting as these fish strike violently and pull hard, they seldom give up, even when in the cooler! Catching a large Redfish is like walking an overgrown Labrador retriever on a leash, is a job that leaves you worn out and beat up once its over.

Trout and Spanish mackerel have been the mainstay when everything else is just no biting or if fish is on the nights menu! They are hanging around deep edges of grass flats and over the next month should be a pretty consistent bite!
